"Doorway To Dream Land II," or "La Voie Des Songes II, " is an all original quilt designed from the imagination of Myrl Lehman-Tapungot. The fabrics are all hand-dyed and painted to achieve the right shades and colors. It took 12 people and a total of 13  months to complete. The quilt contains applique, embroidery, bead work, and is all quilted by hand. Below you will find a close up of the center of the quilt.

Awards won:

(1) 2 awards at the Quilt Yokohama Festival '99 held in Japan: 2nd place for Pictorial Quilts, and  the International Quilting Today Award. A picture of "The Doorway to Dreamland II" is on page 13 of Issue 79 of the Quilting Today Magazine.

(2) First place in the "Just For Fun" Quilts Made For The Joy of It Theme Awards in the Large Quilt Category at the National Quilting Association's 31st Annual Quilt Show held June 22-25, 2000 at the Reno Sparks Convention Center, Reno, Nevada.
